Joseph Noonan (noonan) > Just outside of Homer waaaaaay down the end. There is a series of really sharp switchbacks that bring you down to the beach. Near the end of the beach is a hidden orthodox Russian village that we had learned about from a fisherman at the Salty Dog the night before. I have no pictures of the people there as you are not allowed to take their photograph. The view along the beach was spectacular.

Joseph Noonan (noonan) > This was Kluane Lake as I come around it at Midnight. I was on the Alaskan Highway and very tired after leaving Valdez earlier that morning. For those keeping score yes that is near a 1000 mile Iron Butt ride. I think I fell short by 50 miles or so. But counting the next mornings mileage I did do 1000+ miles in 24 hours so where is my IBA Cert? LOL
